Grown in the mountainous York Syrah Vineyard of Fiddletown, Amador County. This vineyard is a steep rocky lava cap west facing slope. Extremely low yields from these highly stressed mountain vineyards produce first growth quality fruit. It is planted to six different clones of Syrah brought over from France. 2020 was the vintage of covid and lots of wild fires.  Fortunately, neither effected the harvesting of well developed beautiful grapes.  

Plum cake with back pepper, tobacco leaf and violets and wild flowers layered with developed grippy tannins that carry through to the long extractive finish.  This a 15 to 20 year ager.
