Produced from the Bray Vineyard in Amador County. The harvest of 2017 produced a small crop of exceptional flavor. Grapes came in with small bunches and berry size allowing for a more extractive vintage. Coming from a similar climate area of Spain, Amador County is rapidly becoming known as one of the best wine growing regions in California for Tempranillo.
Produced in a rich, dark fruit forward style. Aged in French oak to develop a well-rounded wine with firmly structured tannins. Aromas of blackberry, pepper, clove, tobacco mix with the traditional Amador earthiness and light oak. The wine is fresh and bright with spicy flavors laced with firm tannins that carry through the long finish.
