Grown on the Scott Harvey Estate Vineyard. Extremely low yields from these highly stressed mountain vineyards produced first growth quality fruit. The harvest of 2013 produced a small crop of exceptional flavor. Grapes came in with small bunches and berry size, alowing for a more extractive vintage.
Produced in a rich, dark fruit forward style. Aged in French oak to develop a well-rounded wine with firmly structured tannins. Aromas of oak tree bark, black fruits, black pepper, mix with the traditional Amador earthiness and light oak. The wine is fresh and bright with spicy flavors laced with firm tannins that carry through on the long finish.
