What a terrific year we’ve had spending time with our Wine Club members and customers. As the year draws to a close, we’ve been reminiscing on some of the great times we shared.
The grape stomp at the Norton Vineyard (Old Vine Zinfandel vineyard) was a standout. What amazing competitors we had.
Since we source our grapes from both in Amador County and Napa Valley, we enjoy educating our customers on the vineyards where delicious wines begin. This year we selected one of our Barbera vineyards–Spinetta from Amador and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Napa. The climate and soil for these two regions and varietals are quite diverse.
We had the pleasure of a food and wine demonstration with Chef Tyler Stone at the Norton Vineyard. The highlight was the liquid nitrogen dessert paired with our Scott Harvey Forte.
There were monthly events at the tasting room. Our crew has a great sense of humor and are always thinking up clever concepts for a party–especially on the third Thursday evening of every month. This is a great get-together for locals or anyone visiting the area on those days.
For Scott, his 39th harvest was a memorable one. Exceptional quality and volume. Much more than expected which presented many challenges. You will want to put the 2012 releases on your calendar. The wines are going to be spectacular.
As we say goodby to 2012, that’s just a few of our more memorable moments. Do you have any favorite Scott Harvey memories that you’d like to share with us? Have a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
