100% grown in the mountainous Syrah Vineyards of Amador County. These vineyards make up a good representation of Amador County's ability to produce world class Syrah. They vary from steep rocky volcanic slopes to rolling Sierra mountain terrain. This mountain terroir produces low yields of first growth quality fruit. Harvest was early October in 2006 with smaller than average crop. The grapes came in with small bunches and berry size allowing for a more extracted vintage.
