Made in a full bodied style with mouth watering balance, the wine is full of spicy cloves and blackberry fruit. this is a wine that will go well with a cigar on a summer evening. It will also go well with any style pasta, or barbequed dishes.
A fruit forward Zinfandel and Syrah based blend accentuating California's best. The Zinfandel brings a gruit forward beginning to the wine while the Syrah makes up the full bodied finish. With only the Znifandel and Syrah we have what I call a donut wine with the center still needing to be developed. The Mixed Port is the perfect bridging component to fill out the wine and make it complete.
We had some fun coming up with this wine. Annually, a group of wild and crazy Arizona women come to Napa Valley on what they call "Chick Weekend." Of course we are always one of their favorite stops. After a four hour lunch set in the beautiful Napa Valley Vineyards with plenty of One Last Kiss to drink, we convinced the ladies to kiss a poster board. Needless to say it wasn't too difficult. You can see from their lips on the label that this is one fun group of Arizona ladies. This was one lunch that I'll always remember.
